Legends Walk Brick at the International Tennis Hall of Fame

On The Legends Walk at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island, you’ll notice bricks are engraved with names like Stan Smith, Billie Jean King, Arthur Ashe, and other tennis legends. You’ll also see names you don’t recognize; these are mothers, fathers, coaches, coworkers, and more who’ve made a lasting impression and impact on their loved ones and friends.

By placing a brick on The Legends Walk at the Hall of Fame, you, too, can honor someone special in your life with this unique and permanent tribute.

"It is most fitting to honor George H. Brenner with four bricks on The Legends Walk at the International Tennis Hall of Fame. "Georgie" was a U.S. Marine, a U.S. Naval Officer, a true gentleman, and a warm and honest friend to all he met. But it was his devotion to the Aquidneck Island tennis community and his genuine interest in growing tennis in Newport that set him apart.

George was the first one on the courts and the last one to leave, never leaving behind a man that wanted to play. He will be lovingly remembered as a great man with a smile on his face, a skip in his step, and a racquet in his hand."
